Mold Remediation in Oakland County, MI

When a mold test showed this homeowner that there was mold not only visible in the basement bathroom where water was leaking from the main floor bathroom down behind the finished bathroom wall, but microbial spores were also detected in the rest of the basement level as well. Prior to starting the mold remediation, the basement level needed to be contained from the rest of the home. The basement bathroom also needed to be set in containment to prevent further contamination once demo started. The HVAC unit as well needed to be contained off so that the microbial spores did not travel to other areas of the home. Once the remediation was completed in the affected bathroom, every item and surface in the affect level needed to be cleaned with an antimicrobial solution to destroy any spores and microbial growth that may present. Equipment is also placed in these affected areas, specifically a unit called an air scrubber. This will scrub the air and remove any spores, allergens and irritants from the contained air source, making it healthy to breathe again, and preventing contamination of other areas of the home. When a third party post-test showed that the basement was back within normal ranges, this homeowner was relieved and thrilled with the results.
