Kitchen Fire in Detroit, MI

This home experienced a stove fire that was mostly concentrated to the kitchen and formal dining room as far as major structural damage. When there is a fire, regardless of how big or small, the soot and smoke can cause severe damage throughout most of the home, and in most cases, all of the home is affected by the fire in one way or another. The smell gets into everything and soot will travel through the HVAC system. This will cause soot damage to every room and will linger long after the fire is extinguished. We not only demo the structure materials that were affected by the fire, we also have to dry out the areas that were damaged in the efforts to put out the fire as well as clean every room for soot. All clothing and linens will need to cleaned professionally as well as all electronics in the home. While these photos only show the before and after the demo, there is a lot more work that SERVPRO of Oak Park/Ferndale puts into a fire loss that cannot be captured in a photo.
