Flooding Basements

The Beginning of February 2024 in the Greater Detroit Metro area had us here at SERVPRO® very busy. Over the course of several days, we took a lot of calls for water losses. It was a result of 6 inches of snow followed by several days of rain. This combination of weather led to many flooded basements.

Here at SERVPRO of Oak Park/Ferndale we were dealing with cracks in the foundation, sump pump failures, sewage back ups, and cracked frozen pipes after a loss of power for several days due to the frigid temperatures. Anytime you experience a water loss, you should contact a plumber first to find the source of the water loss to get that fixed. Then contact SERVPRO to handle the removal of water and cleanup along with any reconstruction if needed.
